Being a Gay Christian? Part I

I am currently reading a book called "The God Box" by: Alex Sanchez. Its about a young man named Paul whose heart is strongly committed to God, but there is one problem... Hes gay. If you are familiar with the bible it states in Leviticus 20:13 (KJV) "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." 

But why would God want to destroy something he created?

Especially knowing that being gay isn't something that we weren't able to choose and we cant change it.

People say that God does everything with a purpose right?

and that God has a plan for us..

What makes people think that being gay isn't apart of Gods plan?

"How many more gay people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether or not God wants them around?"
